What Is The Symbol Of Hate?

peace2.jpg

I ask myself this question many times, “What is the symbol of hate?”  I do not recognize the hate symbol evidently.  I hear individuals say different groups are hate groups because of a certain flag, color, symbol, or pattern.  Is this a universal, unspoken code?  Who authorized each of these “universal” symbols?

You can not show, wear, or display a Confederate (Rebel) flag at  a local school.  At another public school, depending on the race of an assembly speaker, certain students may not wear a white shirt.  Each school will execute a consequence for such displays!

The same schools will tolerate a rainbow symbol displayed, possibly on a shirt.  At one time would have the significant meaning of God’s promise.  Now I understand the rainbow symbolizeses or defines a sexual preference or gay pride.

Is their a symbol for hate?  Every individual perceives the world, their own way.  The only definition one has for a material object, color, flag, or word is the meaning they have allowed society to place on it.

I’d say the confederate flag comes pretty close.

I ask myself, is the Confederate Flag, hate or history? Is it a design on a famous car “General Lee”?

I do appreciate your opinion. Thanks for sharing. I just don’t believe a “dirty word” is dirty because society says it is. It is only a word that society defines, like everything else.

    - I hear you on that… To a black man though, the confederate flag symbolizes hate in history.

I comprehend that view and completely understand. I guess I choose to believe the black man more intelligent and view the ignorance, arrogance, and lack of intelligence as just that.

Society has stereotyped the “rebel” or “redneck” as a stupid individual, usually inbred.

I do appreciate the insight. Thanks for sharing your views.

Based on the hate I’ve seen in the past 20 years, I’d say the Christian cross makes for a pretty good symbol.

God is love, the cross is a symbol of renewed life. There is simply too much hate in the world.

I can’t believe nobody mentioned the swastika or republican elephant.
